Position Overview
The Account Manager is responsible for leading clients through the entire sales process — from initial discovery and budgeting through specification, ordering, installation, and post-project support. This role requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
We’re also looking for someone eager to grow into leadership and eventually help guide and develop a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage individual sales goals
- Oversee the full sales cycle from initial client interview through project implementation
- Identify and develop prospects and new business opportunities
- Provide preliminary budget guidance and early-phase presentations
- Partner with internal design teams and manufacturers to define full project scope
- Accurately quote and manage all project-related costs (product, freight, installation, etc.)
- Anticipate specification risks (e.g., outdoor durability, healthcare textile standards, environmental factors)
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
- Maintain consistent, timely communication with clients and internal teams
- Continuously learn new product lines, features, and services
- Deliver professional after-sales support
- Resolve issues collaboratively with design, project management, and installation teams to ensure client success
Qualifications
- 3+ years of sales experience
- Positive, professional, and personable attitude
- Meticulous attention to detail and desire to deliver outstanding results for clients
- Strong reading comprehension. The position requires developing a thorough understanding of complex government priorities, contracts, and processes
- Ability to interpret space plans and specifications
- Team-oriented mindset with a desire to collaborate
Compensation & Benefits
- Comprehensive benefits package
- Base salary range of $65,000–$85,000 plus commissions (significant earning potential)
